Training
HCOM offers classroom and onsite training courses designed to shorten learning cycle of solution developer, system integrator and network operator. Fusion Workshop

| Introduction to Fusion |
This module describes the four major components of the Fusion development platform: the CG series board,
Natural Access Core software, Media Stream Processing Protocol (MSPP) Service and third party products used for IP signaling. Endpoints, channels, connections and filters are introduced to explain conceptually how Fusion transforms and manages the data flow. |
Installation and Configuration |
This module explains how to configure and customize your system. Demonstration programs used to verify that the board and software are installed correctly are presented.
Hands-on practice includes installing and configuring the Fusion software and verifying the installation. |
MSPP Service (API) |
This module describes the functions used to create, enable, connect, disconnect, disable and destroy endpoints and channels. It also describes the functions used to command and query channel filters.
Hands-on practice includes writing a program to create, enable, connect, disable and destroy endpoints and channels. The exercise also includes sending commands and queries to filters. |
MSPP Service (Voice and Switch Filters) |
This module describes the features and functionality of the MSPP voice and switch filters (inputs, outputs, parameter settings and tradeoffs to achieve voice quality requirements). Both endpoint filters (DS0, RTP and TPKT) and channel filters (encoder, decoder, jitter, and switch) are discussed in detail. |
MSPP Service (Fax Filters) |
This module describes the features and functionality of the MSPP T38UDP endpoint filter and the T.38 Fax Relay channel filter (inputs, outputs, parameter settings and tradeoffs to achieve fax quality requirements). Voice-to-fax switchover techniques are also discussed. |
NCC SIP (API) |
This module describes the feature and functionality of NCC SIP functions used to setup, teardown and provision SIP session. Hands-on practice includes coding and troubleshooting. |

This module provides an introduction to the Natural Access Core software architecture, operations and basic functions. |
Configuration & Test Procedures |
This module explains how to install and configure AG and CG boards using oamsys utility. It includes hands-on practice installing and configuring AG/CG boards and Natural Access software. |

The capabilities and functions of the ADI service API, such as tone detection, play and record, are presented in this module. |
| NCC Service |
The capabilities and functions of the Natural Call Control service API are presented in this module. |

| Network Overview |
This module presents an overview of intelligent network structure. Topics include: signaling points, links and linksets, routes and routesets, reliability and addressing. |
| Protocol Overview |
In this module, an overview of the SS7 protocol stack is illustrated with examples of MTP, ISUP and TCAP layer applications. |
Installation and Configuration |
This module teaches installation and configuration procedures for TX series hardware and NMS software. It provides information on common TX alarms and an overview of TX utilities. |
| MTP3 Layer API |
The NMS MTP 3 layer management API functions for configuration, status requests, control requests and statistics requests are introduced in this module. Hands-on exercises provide practice in using several of these functions. |
| ISUP Layer API |
This module presents information on how to use NMS ISUP API functions to to establish, maintain and clear circuit-switched connections in an SS7 network. The module discusses ISUP congestion handling and includes hands-on exercises. |
| TCAP Layer API |
This module introduces the NMS TCAP service functions, as well as basic TCAP concepts, including transaction and component types and TCAP message structure. The module provides sample applications for sending, receiving and responding to transactions, an overview of TCAP congestion control and hands-on exercises. |
SS7 Redundancy and HMI API |
This module provides an overview of NMS SS7 redundancy and health management and introduces the Health Management Interface (HMI) API. It discusses redundant application models for SCCP, TCAP and ISUP, as well as hands-on exercises. |
| GSM MAP API |
This module describes the implementation of GSM MAP encoder and decoder application. It also covers integration of GSM MAP with TCAP service. |

This module describes Natural Access ADI service used to control play, record, and storage in 3GP file format for audio and video data to and from an IP network. |
Transcoder Resource Controller |
This module describes TRC service that supports media adaptation to and
from different mobile video and IP video codecs. It introduces TRC used to allocate and control video processing channels on the available video transcoder platforms.
Media adaptation provides the framework for dynamically altering video content, such as the spatial and temporal resolution and encoding format of the multimedia content. |
